Recently I was asked to participate in a Mock Draft. Typically I choose to ignore any fantasy football until June because you just end up with egg on your face. When Chet from Razzball.com asked I couldn't say no.

Break Down
1st Round : Steven Jackson
I wasn't going to pass up SJax, in fact I was quite happy he dropped down to me. One of the few true work horse backs still in the lead, that pick was a no brainer.
2nd Round: Calvin Johnson
Another year with Stafford made me feel very comfortable about pulling the trigger here, CJ could easily get into a grove and put up 1500/15
3rd Round: Tony Romo
I'm not a huge Romo fan, but I'm not a hater. I just saw a huge drop off after Romo so I pulled the trigger.
4th Round: Wes Welker
I know he is hurt, but at this point I'm hearing he will open the season and other reports that say he will be out till week 8. Similar to Romo I saw the drop off too great even if Welker is to miss a couple games.
5th Round: Jonathan Stewart
STUD! I was shocked he came all the way back to me, but I'll take it. If CAR does make a move in the backfield over the off season I look like a genius. Either way he's a solid HB that will top 1000 yards and has a strong shot to have double digit TDs
6th Round: Pierre Garcon (huh huh)
I know about Collie and Gonzalez, but I'm not worried. Garcon was very raw this year and he will only get better. He should take that #2 WR spot and leave those other two guys to compete for the slot position. Huge Upside here.
7th Round: LeSean McCoy
I have no idea how this guy was still on the board but I snatched him up. I suppose I was the only one that saw the Westbrook release coming. Either way, I have three very solid HBs.
8th Round: LaDainion Tomlinson
I couldn't allow his to slip any further, so out of mercy I picked him. The Chargers couldn't not run block on the right side of the line and I feel that LT was the scape goat for general manager AJ Smith. If LT gets 200 carries he can still put up some solid numbers and he has a nose for the end zone.
9th Round: Laurence Maroney
This was simply a depth pick, I was not able to take Knox or Aramashudo because the system didn't have them eligible.
10th Round: Visanthe Shiancoe
Can you believe how much depth their is a TE? Neither can I! I wanted Gates, but after I missed him, I just waited and waited and pulled the trigger in the 10th. I don't see that much drop off from the top TE's to the mid guys, especially if you can draft one six rounds later. I realize that a lot of the success of Shiancoe may right on the return of Favre, but at this point my money is on him coming back.
11th Round: Malcolm Floyd
In a pass all the time offense, having the #2 receiver Floyd should produce solid numbers. A steal at this point in the draft.
12th Round: Joe Flacco
Solid backup, Romo may miss a game or two. I like Flacco late as insurance.
13th Round: Deion Branch
Solid this season, not sure he will be back in Seattle, but got his stride back.
14th Round: Washington Defense
Solid defense, not an earth shattering pick.
15th Round: Adam Viniteri
Kicking in the last round. No big surprise.
Overall, my team looks outstanding. Great depth at HB, a little soft at WR, but after week one you typically can pick up a WR after things start to shake out. Let's see how this team looking in September before I start patting myself on the back.
