Fantasy Football: Points Allowed Week 9 Cheat Sheet

NFL Football - Who's giving it up?

cheatYou are staring at your lineup trying to decide who to start and who to sit this week.  You want information, but you are too prideful to ask for advice.  You are in luck because at FantasyDaddy.com we are giving it up!  With a glance over the chart you can tell which players have tough or weak matchups.  This chart is set up to allow you to see which teams allow the most points for Fantasy Football positions.

To clarify a team with “32” gives up the most points in that category, the team with a “1” gives up the least.  Large movers of  > 5 are highlighted as well.

Week 8 and now some teams are officially halfway through their season.  Last week, there was a lot of movement, but it was a lot of small moves within a tightly packed group of RB movers.  This week there was more separation, and less movement, but let’s take a look at what did move.

QB Movers: DAL (-7): The Cowboys were trounced on Sunday Night Football.  The Eagles offense scorched them for a whopping 31 first downs on a total of 70 plays.  That’s just obscene.  BUF (6): So, when do the Skins revert back to Rex Grossman at QB?  The John Beck experiment hasn’t exactly progressed into anything positive for this team.

RB Movers: MIA (7): The Giants don’t play well against bad teams, and they only totaled 58 yards rushing against Miami who had been giving up ~110 yds per game.  SEA (8): The Seahawks locked up the Bengals RBs on Sunday (there’s a bad pun somewhere in there about Benson).  Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard showed up, but Andy Dalton was having too much fun targeting the weak Philly secondary en route to a Bengals win.

WR Movers: None.  Zilch. Zero. # of TDs for Julio Jones (What? Eh, just thought I’d put that in there if you want to try to buy low on the injured rookie, who might be back this week).

TE Movers:  MIN(-9): Vikings eeked out a win on the Panthers, but gave up a TD to Olsen & Shockey, which caused their TE rank to plummet.  PIT (-6):  Steelers faced Hernandez/Gronkowski, enough said.  WAS (-6): Mr. Red Zone: Scott Chandler had 2 TDs.  We don’t talk about vultures much in the pass game, but he’s stolen his fair share from Stevie Johnson, Fred Jackson, and a number of other Bill’s receiving threats.  PHI (6):  Jason Witten – who?  Eagles revamped defense didn’t allow the Cowboys to get anything going.  Romo couldn’t even find his trusty target, Witten.  DET (9):  Tebow effect, and can you even name the TE on the Broncos?  I didn’t watch the game, but maybe he Fells down at one point.
