QB – Donavan McNabb

With the shocking trade of McNabb to the Redskins in April, the Redskins finally have a true franchise qb for the first time since the days of Thiesmann.  McNabb instantly becomes the team’s best offensive weapon. I see McNabb as a solid number 2 qb in leagues that employ a 2 qb system. Otherwise, he is nothing more than a matchup play/bye week qb, unless the Redskins offense shows some consistency.

RB – Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson, Willie Parker, Ryan Torian

Unless one of these guys show some consistency early on in the season and get a lock on the starting job, none of them have any real value. Shanahan is known for switching up the running backs from week to week and sometimes will ride the hot hand, but if you choose to roll the dice hope you hit the right matchup at the right time.

WR – Santana Moss

If any of the offensive weapons who could show a resurgence it’s Moss. Moss is a solid possession WR and can also be a burner if need be. Expect Moss to have stats in the 70 catch, 900 to 1000 yards receiving with 7ish touchdowns. I see him as number 3 WR with a low 2 upside or as a WR flex play.

WR- Devin Thomas And Joey Galloway

This is the fight to play opposite Moss. Thomas showed promise towards the end of last season, and Galloway was signed really to push Thomas. I don’t really see Galloway being worth drafting unless it is really deep league and he beat Thomas out. If Thomas continues to grow from last year he would be quite serviceable in 12 or 14 league number 3 WR.

TE – Chris Cooley

McNabb never had this good of a TE in Philadelphia. Expect McNabb to look for Cooley early and often in which could be Cooley’s best statistical year to date. Expect to see at least 75 catches, a push for a 800 yards receiving, and at least 5 touchdowns. After the elite top 5 TE’s are off the board feel free to draft Cooley who could by season’s end be in the top 5 discussion
