NFL Football - Target Practice

Target Practice is a list of Fantasy Football players that had at least eight passes thrown their way in the past weeks games. A high number of targets does not always equal success, but at least you know who is receiving the most opportunities to be successful.

Percy Harvin leads all with 15 targets.  This could be the benefit of Adrian Peterson being out, but it’s obvious that Harvin is becoming an integral part of the Vikings offense, and whether or not AP comes back, it would be wise for the Vikings to continue using him in this way as a hybrid WR/RB.

Other observations:

Devin Aromashodu, last week’s target leader, has continued to be a target coming in with 10 targets.

Tim Tebow is spreading the ball around now, making Eric Decker a less reliable WR.  Demaryius Thomas & Matt Willis appeared on the WR list from the Broncos this week.

Kevin Walter benefitted from Andre Johnson’s injury along with the Texans grabbing their first playoff berth in club history.

Julio Jones with 3 Red Zone targets is a good sign that Matt Ryan is looking for the rookie in the end zone.
