NFL Football - Target Practice

Target Practice is a list of Fantasy Football players that had at least eight passes thrown their way in the past weeks games. A high number of targets does not always equal success, but at least you know who is receiving the most opportunities to be successful.

New names at the top of the Target Practice list this week, and here are your double digit targets

15 – Pierre Garcon, Antonio Brown

14 – Reggie Wayne, Sidney Rice

13 – Brandon Lloyd, Eddie Royal

12 – Anquan Boldin, Eric Decker, Jason Witten

11 – Dwayne Bowe, Greg Little

10 – A.J. Green, Lance Moore, Hakeem Nicks, Dallas Clark

Last, but not least, here are your RZ Target leaders: Antonio Brown (5),Pierre Garcon (4),Anquan Boldin (4), Reggie Wayne (3), and Jason Witten (3).

Observations

Antonio Brown, not only had the most targets (tied with Pierre Garcon), but he also had the most red zone targets.  If he’s available in your leagues, he’s a must grab.

Pierre Garcon, also with 15 targets, continues to be Curtis Painter’s favorite target; although Reggie Wayne got almost as many looks.  We’ll see if this a sign of more targets going to Reggie Wayne, but they’re still very dependent on Curtis Painter, who hasn’t shown enough for me to have a lot of confidence in either WR for consistent numbers with how bad the Colts are playing.

Wes Welker is the only WR to receive 8+ targets in all of his games so far.

Jon Baldwin may be a good sleeper for future weeks, the young WR had a spectacular TD catch, and despite a few drops embraced the national spotlight.  Not a lot of new names to the list, this week, but Baldwin may be worth a target for FA in deeper leagues, especially with KC’s soft schedule coming up.
