Take ‘em or leave ‘em

Remember, all stats are relative. Schemes change, players change, luck changes. My favorite Quarterback stat is fantasy points per snap because it tells you what each player was able to do while on the field and they touch the ball almost every team snap.

2011 QB Notes:

Drew Brees was 2^nd in points scored, but was 5^th in points per snap. If New Orleans defense gets worse than his point total will dip.
Aaron Rodgers was 2^nd in points per snap. Jake Locker was #1.
There is a huge drop off after Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Tom Brady, and Matthew Stafford. You have to grab one in your next draft.
Jay Cutler was 23^rd in points per snap and 17^th in points per game. Mark Sanchez was higher in both categories. Mike Martz is gone.
Sam Bradford was 46^th in points per snap and 39^th in points per game. Unless he gets a real #1 Wide Receiver, stay away. He gets a new offensive coordinator this year and Jeff Fisher likes to run the ball. Hello Steven Jackson!
There was no difference between Joe Flacco and Matt Moore.
There was no difference between Colt McCoy and Kevin Kolb.
Matt Flynn was 3^rd in points per snap due to Week 17. The production won’t stay the same but the potential is there.
Kyle Orton was 9^th in points per snap.
Joe Webb was 6^th in points per snap, but it was due to the low snap count and a long touchdown run. Ignore this one.
Sleepers: Matt Ryan and Carson Palmer. I think the Falcons will pass more as Michael Turner wears down and Carson Palmer never had a wide receiver corp like this.
