NFL Football - Starts and Sits
As we reach the playoffs, you have some serious decisions to make.
This isn’t like the time you had to get lunch for your boss and forgot what he/she said.
This is so much more important.
This is for all the marbles. Who do you trust in your time of need? Fantasy Daddy!
Week 14 Starts
Nate Burleson – Did you see Demaryius Thomas last week versus the Vikins? 144 yards and 2 touchdowns. I have a feeling the Vikings will attempt to stop Calvin Johnson, leaving Burleson wide open. Matthew Stafford will have a great game too.
Eric Decker – Since Tim Tebow can throw the ball downfield, there will be chances. Thomas was the benefactor last week, but Decker is still the go-to guy.
Matt Moore – This guy is actually putting up very decent numbers. If you were planning on using Jay Cutler, Matt Schaub, or for some reason Josh Freeman, go with Moore instead. The Dolphins are gaining confidence, which is the second best motivation for players.
Michael Vick – There is too much talent to bench him. If Andy Reid trusts him, then you should too.
Santonio Holmes – Kansas City isn’t very good. Mark Sanchez hasn’t been elite, but he should be able to find Holmes for a long TD.
Torrey Smith – The Ravens haven’t been able to get deep in a couple of games. Playing the Colts will give the Ravens an opportunity to beat on them pretty good.
Carson Palmer – Palmer will start to get some of his good receivers back, and it will show. Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford are the two playmakers Oakland wants on the field. Ford may not be back but Moore should be.
Denver D/ST – Chicago isn’t nearly the same team without Jay Cutler and Matt Forte. Start with that confidence I was talking about.
Santana Moss – Someone has to catch Fred Davis’ balls. Since Moss plays mostly in the slot, I believe it is him. There should be a lot of 3 WR sets featuring Jabar Gaffney, Moss, and Anthony Armstrong.
Week 14 Sits
Jacoby Jones – TJ Yates is a better quarterback than Matt Leinart (at least fantasy wise). I think the Bengals can cover Jones up.
Jonathan Stewart – I’m a big fan of Jonathan Stewart and believe he should have been given DeAngelo Williams money. However, Atlanta is one of the best defending against the run and Stewart cannot battle the Falcons and Cam Newton for the goalline carries.
DeAngelo Williams – see Stewart, Jonathan.
Larry Fitzgerald – It’s tough to bench a stud, but it could mean the difference between bragging rights and eating Ramen for two months. If you benched Steven Jackson for Jonathan Stewart, you were rewarded richly. In the last meeting with the 49ers, he had 41 yards and a touchdown. Since TDs are very hard to predict, the yardage should be enough to take a hard look at.
Stevie Johnson – Chargers had a little success this week, and go home to play well in December, which they seem to always do.
Laurent Robinson – Miles Austin is no scrub. We just don’t know what the snaps and targets will look like as Austin returns from his hamstring injury.
Miles Austin – Don’t rely on him in his first game back.
AJ Green – He might be matchup proof, but Phillips is smart and knows who the playmaker is.
Week 13 Results
Good Starts – Riley Cooper (9), Jonathan Stewart (15), Michael Crabtree (15), Alex Smith (19)
Bad Starts – Caleb Hanie (0), Plaxico Burress (3)
Good Sits – Steven Jackson (2), Michael Bush (3), Larry Fitzgerald (5)
Bad Sits – Arian Foster (21), Toby Gerhart (13), Santonio Holmes (11), Matthew Stafford (18)
As always, you can hit me or any of the Fantasy Daddy team on twitter. If you ask me a question at @FD_Bass, I will tell you why I pick a certain player. It is up to you whether it is logical or not.
