We are almost done with the bye weeks (only 2 more weeks left to go. Got some guys you want to take a hard look at going forward and for bye week replacements.
If you have any fantasy question feel free to hit me up on twitter @FD_Matt
GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK!!!
Quarterbacks
Matt Cassel (Chiefs) Yahoo: 37% ESPN: 35%
Cassel has a great matchup this at home against the Dolphins. The Dolphins were torched this this pass Sunday by Eli Manning, and I do see this trend continuing this week for Cassel. So if you are in a pinch this week for a bye week replacement quarterback Cassel presents a great matchup for you.
Running Backs
Javon Ringer (Titans) Yahoo: 9% ESPN: 6%
After blowing a golden opportunity to finally post a decent game against a horrible defense, it is just looking sad for Chris Johnson, and honestly he should be riding your bench in most leagues. To make matters worse in a head to head comparison on Sunday, Ringer just flat out played better than Johnson (60 rushing yards on 14 attempts and 42 receiving yards on 5 receptions vs. 34 rushing yards on 14 attempts and 17 receiving yards on 3 receptions). If you own Johnson and haven't already done so, better handcuff Ringer in what is shaking out to be a nasty situation. So play the hot hand with this duo until further notice, but ideally if you can Johnson on name recognition alone to improve your team I would jump all over that.
Chris Ogbonnaya (Browns) Yahoo: 2% ESPN: 1%
If your desperate for another RB for those desperate for anything at the RB slot. The Browns backfield is banged up, and Montario Hardesty left early with a calf injury. This led to Ogbonnaya being featured. While he didn't do anything to call home to mom about, he did post some production getting 37 rushing yards on 11 attempts and 24 receiving yards on 5 receptions. The health of the backfield in Cleveland will unfold as the week develops, but when it comes to the waiver wire, oftentimes you don't have the luxury of time to wait and see what develops.
Reggie Bush (Dolphins) Yahoo: 56% ESPN: 77%’
Everybody and their brother is hurt in Miami at the tailback slot, and ironically Bush is not one of them. As such, the Dolphins fed him the ball to the tune of 15 carries, which he converted to 103 rushing yards. He also had 4 receptions for 17 yards. Miami is a mess, and Bush should benefit from stat days like this until the backfield situation plays itself out. So I feel confident using Bush as flex play going forward and you should too.
Wide Receiver
Jonathan Baldwin (Chiefs) Yahoo: 5% ESPN: 1%
One of our favorite deep sleepers coming into the year, Baldwin is finally starting to make some noise going for 5 for 82 with one TD last night on 8 targets. This rookie receiver is a big physical guy with a huge upside. The Chiefs offense has been doing a lot better lately, and Baldwin should see a lot of single coverage with Bowe getting most of the attention going forward so pick up Baldwin ASAP!!
Antonio Brown (Steelers) Yahoo: 56% ESPN: 24%
Brown continues to be a big part of the Steelers offense. After 2 straight quite games in weeks 5 and 6, he has had 16 catches for 169 yards and a score in the last 2 weeks. The Steelers have 2 tough match ups and then a bye coming up, but he has a nice schedule for the playoffs. So as long as Hines Ward stays pretty ineffective Brown is worth picking up as a flex spot.
Jabar Gaffney (Redskins) Yahoo: 54% ESPN: 52%
With Fred Davis in a walking boot on Monday, someone has to be the team top target in the passing game, and it looks like Jabar Gaffney is the man. He is a solid pick up especially in a PPR league, but he may already be gone in your league as he was one of the hot pickups last week from the waiver wire.
Tight Ends
Brent Celek (Eagles) Yahoo: 13% ESPN: 6%
After a horrible start to the season, Celek is catching fire and posted his second consecutive nice fantasy start. He is becoming a reliable option for Vick, who has targeted Celek 9 times in each of the last two weeks. Celek ended the day with 7 receptions for 94 yards and 1 TD last Sunday. If you’re looking for help at the TE spot, Celek is looking like a possible worthy starter going forward.
Heath Miller (Steelers) Yahoo: 50% ESPN: 42 %
Miller is settling into being a reliable option at the TE slot. He had his best day of the season on Sunday pulling in 7 receptions for 85 yards and a TD. I had a feeling the Steelers were gonna feature the pass rather than run this year, and my suspicion was correct, especially after such a heavy workload from Rashard Mendnhall last year. Start Miller in all your leagues with confidence going forward.
