Dwayne Bowe, WR, Kansas City Chiefs- Bowe had a breakout game in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings, as he had five receptions (on nine targets) for 107 yards and a touchdown. He now has scored in back-to-back games and has 14 catches for 275 yards over the last three games. The Chiefs are missing running back Jamal Charles (knee) for the season, so Bowe qualifies as the team's best skill position player and should see frequent targets from quarterback Matt Cassel. Cassel's production has been better over the past two games, so that bodes well for Bowe going forward. A string of favorable looking matchups are also on the horizon, as Kansas City will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 and the Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins after their Week 7 bye. The Chiefs may not win a lot of games this season, but Bowe is a solid, under the radar buy-low candidate right now.
Visanthe Shiancoe, TE, Minnesota Vikings- Shiancoe finally made a significant appearance in a boxscore last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, with six receptions for 58 yards as he was targeted eight times in the game. He had been dealing with a hamstring issue since the preseason, so perhaps a return to full health led to his increased usage and production. Minnesota does not have a lot of talent at wide receiver, so Shiancoe should continue to be a featured part of the passing game going forward. He will get three consecutive favorable matchups against the Arizona Cardinals (Week 5), Chicago Bears (Week 6) and Green Bay Packers (Week 7), as all three opponents enter this week in the bottom half of the league defending opposing tight ends. With six teams on a bye week over that span, Shiancoe stands to be a suitable replacement for fantasy owners that have a need when their regular tight end is idle.
Marques Colston, WR, New Orleans Saints- Colston made a quicker than expected return from a Week 1 collarbone injury last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but did not play a lot and had just one catch for eight yards in the game. He seemed to come out of the game healthy, and should see an increased role as the next few weeks progress. Colston has 37 receptions for 528 yards in nine career games against the Saints Week 5 opponent, the Carolina Panthers, with three games with at least 90 yards and four games with at least five receptions. Any wide receiver that has the attention of Saints quarterback Drew Brees is worth fantasy consideration, and it can be argued Colston is the most consistent wide receiver on the team when healthy. It all adds up to a nice potential buy-low candidate if you can find the owner in your league that has him and is willing to unload him. Perhaps that owner will be hurt with bye weeks over the next few weeks?

Tim Hightower, RB, Washington Redskins- Hightower was a preseason sensation as he took the reigns in the Redskins' backfield rotation and rendered any other back on the team virtually un-rosterable in fantasy leagues. He did not disappoint when the real games started, with 59 carries for 209 yards and a touchdown along with nine receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown over the first three games of the season. But he was reportedly suffered a shoulder injury early in Week 4 against the St. Louis Rams, which opened the door for Ryan Torain to get 19 carries for 135 yards and a touchdown in the game. The Redskins have a bye in Week 5, but Torain has been a favorite of Washington head coach Mike Shanahan going back to their days together in Denver and should have a role going forward. Shanahan has drawn the ire of fantasy owners in the past due to how he handles his tailback rotation, but Hightower may be rendered to third-down duty after the Redskins get back into action in Week 6. Things could change due to injury or Shanahan's weekly whims, but Hightower looks like a nice sell-high candidate right now.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis, RB, New England Patriots- Green-Ellis had 16 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown along with one catch for nine yards against the Oakland Raiders last week. He now has three rushing touchdowns on the season and has gotten double-digit carries in each of the last three games. The bigger concern going forward is the likely increased role of rookie Stevan Ridley, who had 10 carries for 97 yards and a touchdown last week and has 16 carries for 139 yards over the past two games. We are almost assuredly looking at a dreaded RBBC in New England, with Ridley, Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead all likely to see time. But Woodhead suffered an ankle injury last week against the Raiders, which should create more carries for the other two backs if he misses any time. Green-Ellis may continue to get goalline work and thus has some value in all fantasy leagues, but Ridley's upside looks much greater and it would be hard for the Patriots to justify keeping him off the field if he continues to produce. Now may be the best time to maximize Green-Ellis' trade value if an owner in your league needs a running back with bye weeks on the horizon.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Buffalo Bills- After throwing for nine touchdowns over the first three games of the season, Fitzpatrick struggled some in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals as he went 20-for-34 for 199 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions in the game. Week 5 brings a matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, who have good talent in the secondary but have not intercepted a pass over the last two weeks. After that things will get a little tougher against the New York Giants, Washington Redskins and New York Jets over his next three games, with a Week 7 bye in there as well. Fitzpatrick is a solid bet to have a good game against the Eagles in what could be a very high-scoring game, but it is worth noting that over his last five games in 2010 he threw multiple touchdowns just once and he topped 260 passing yards just once in that span. the smart time to consider selling high on the Harvard graduate seems to be coming, but waiting until next week may be a prudent move.
