Fantasy Football Week 15 Good, Bad, Ugly

NFL Football - Football

good-bad-and-uglyWe had another great slate of games today and there was a few head scratching results that a few guys in Vegas are probably very happy came to fruition. The two perfect teams both saw their respective streaks come to an end; The Packers were finally beaten and the Colts finally won. Tom Brady spanked Tim Tebow and apparently it was a track meet in the cold of Buffalo. There was Good, there was Bad and there was Ugly.

Good

CJ Spiller-  Who had the stones to start this guy today? If you did then I commend you for the foresight to make an amazing play for your Fantasy Team in your most important match up this season. This move will propel your squad into the finals next week and you have Spiller’s monster stat line to thank for your fortunes. Spiller shredded Miami for 173 total yards, 2 TD’s, 9 catches and 37 fantasy points.

Reggie Bush- There is something about the mixture of South Beach & Reggie Bush that has created a plethora of fantasy delights this season. I have been secretly waiting for the poor guys wheels to fall off but next week is the fantasy championship and Bush is still your RB2 wearing an RB1’s production on his sleeve.  Bush is having his best season in the NFL and that continued with a big exclamation mark today with 203 rushing yards, 1 TD and 24 fantasy points.

Drew Brees- The Saints marched into Minnesota and destroyed the Vikings on the shoulders of your fantasy stud Drew Brees. He turned the game settings to ``Easy`` and torched the Vikings secondary for 412 yards, 5 TD`s and 44 fantasy points.

Calvin Johnson- It was a Megatron performance from Calvin & his Lions today in their comeback victory against the Raiders. Calvin gave his owners something brag about with his biggest output of the season, Johnson caught 9 balls for 214 yards, 2 TD`s and 42 fantasy points. Megatron delivers a mega-forty burger for his owners and as a result you are probably coasting to the Fantasy Championships next week.

Matthew Stafford- If you had Stafford quarter backing your squad today you are also ecstatic about the final tally. Stafford led his team back to a huge win today in reality and in fantasy the boy is a bonafide stud.  Stafford threw for 391 yards, 4 TD and 39 points.

Tom Brady-  The Patriots walked into god`s country and struck down Tim Tebow and his Broncos in a convincing fashion. Brady had great chemistry today with Aaron Hernandez and he capitalized with 9 catches, 129 yards, 1 TD for 27 points. Tom Terrific spread it around for 320 yards, 3 TD and 30 points.

Tim Tebow:-Tebow and the Broncos fell short in reality today but if he was your fantasy starter today you were doing your own version of Tebow-ing somewhere in the vicinity of your flat screen. Tebow threw 194 yards, added 90 more on the ground with 2 TD`s and 28 points.

Bad

Jordy Nelson- The Packers streak of perfection ended today in Kansas City and Jordy was invisible today on the score sheet.  He caught 2 passes for 29 yards and 4 points.

DeSean Jackson- The Eagles were soaring today but Jackson was anchored on Revis Island all afternoon. He was never able to get going and finished with 2 catches, 28 yards and 4 points.

Andy Dalton- The Red rocket was a nice match up on paper this morning but by the time the game had ended the rookie wasn`t popular in fantasy circles. The Bengals held on to win the game but Dalton was held off the TD train and only managed a few fantasy points from his yardage total. Dalton finished the game with 179 pass yards with 1 interception and 5 points.

Denarius Moore- It was his first game in weeks so it is understandable that Moore had a little rust but he was a non-factor today. If you thought you were being slick with a nice value play on a Draft Street lineup you were painfully mistaken, Moore had 13 rush yards and 2 catches for 13 yards and a standard league total of 2 points.

Ugly

Percy Harvin- Sweet Percy has been rocking it out on the fantasy gridiron in his last couple games but he was missing from the offensive game plan today. He caught 3 passes for 8 yards and zero standard league points; if you play PPR you at least had 3 points on the board but nothing to brag about.

Marion Barber- The Barbarian wasn`t able to channel his inner Matt Forte and if you had to desperately play the Bears back you were left holding your hat. Barber split carries with Khalil Bell and only managed 33 yards and 3 fantasy points.

Pierre Garcon- He is one of the most unpredictable receivers in the league this year and is the king of the boom or bust. Today was a bust type performance and Garcon only caught 2 passes for 24 yards and he lost 1 fumble. If you are a standard score kind of guy, you have become familiar with the zero he laid on your forehead.
