NFL Football - Team Previews

I had a chance to do a little fantasy football Q and A with the wildly popular Giants blog BlueBlueView.com.  Asking questions to guys that devote their lives covering their favorite teams, here is what Ed from the Big Blue View had to say about the Giants.

1.      Can you see Eli Manning repeat his 2010 performance with a weakened WR corps?

"Well, not sure you are referring to the good (4,000+ yards) or the bad (25 INTs), but I think Eli will be just fine. Also not sure about 'weakened WR corps.' I know Steve Smith is in Philly, but let's see just exactly how much he contributes. Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham are both outstanding. I am more worried about the Giants finding a tight end to help control the middle of the field than I am the wide receivers."

2.      Will Bradshaw continue to get the lion’s share of the carries this season?

"The Giants say they want to split carries more evenly this season between Bradshawn and Brandon Jacobs. We'll see."

3.      Will Jacobs vulture goal line carries

"He usually does. Don't see why that would change."

4.      Is this the year Manningham takes the next step?

"I think so. He will start full time, and thru the first couple of preseason games it looks like he is becoming Eli's security blanket, otherwise known as the 'holy crap, I'm in trouble, where's Mario?' time."
