"The Pick up Artist"

Week 11

Fantasy football is a game of being pro active.  Working your leagues waiver wire can make your team a force during the playoffs.  As guys get banged up or winning teams rest starters, new fantasy studs emerge. You need to be ready to pounce on players that can have an impact.

With that I introduce you to Jeremy Self AKA “The Pick Up Artist”.  Jeremy is here to help you look ahead and have an impact on your roster.  Make sure you follow Jeremy on twitter.com/thefantasynerd and follow the site at twitter.com/FantasyDaddy.

QB’s

Vince Young - He is only owned in 6.6% of ESPN leagues and has put together three consecutive double-digit point games. He returns to his hometown this week to take on a Texan team that hasn’t given up too many points to opposing quarterbacks, but they have had the luxury of playing Oakland, Buffalo and San Francisco in the last five weeks.

Jason Campbell - The Redskins face a Cowboys team this week that is still trying to find ways to solve the problems in their secondary. Campbell has strung together several decent fantasy games, and while he isn’t a top-tier quarterback any week, he has enough upside to be a short term solution if you are thin at the position.

Matt Stafford - While I usually prefer to leave rookie quarterbacks on the sideline, Stafford faces a Cleveland defense that has struggled to stop anyone all season long. Calvin Johnson is back in the lineup and will be a tremendous problem for the Cleveland secondary.  I don’t recommend using him past this week, but he is worth a spot start if you’re desperate.

RB’s

Bernard Scott - Whether or not Larry Johnson joins the Bengals, Scott is worth a pick-up in most formats because of the dedication Cincinnati has shown to their running game. Scott looked good after replacing Benson in Sunday’s game and will get a decent number of touches until Benson returns. It is also worth mentioning that the Bengals will face Cleveland and Detroit in the next three weeks.

Jamal Charles - He is only owned in 36% of ESPN leagues and has several soft defenses left on the schedule. His week 10 performance against the Raiders should entrench him as the starter and guarantee enough touches to make him a valuable 3rd running back for your fantasy team.  He also catches a decent number of passes and has the speed to take a screen play to the house at any time.

Jason Snelling - With Michael Turner likely missing week 11 against the Giants, Snelling will be the one taking the majority of the touches in the running game.  The Giants have struggled against teams that run the ball well and the Falcons will need to exploit that if they want to break their current slump.

WR’s

Jeremy Maclin - He is simply too talented not to pick up. Maclin has been targeted seventeen times in the past two weeks and has the type of athleticism to make plays anytime he gets his hands on the ball. He doesn’t have ideal match-ups over the next several weeks but it shouldn’t stop him from being a productive spot start for your fantasy team.

Donnie Avery - Avery had a breakout performance against New Orleans in week 10. As long as Marc Bulger can get the ball in his vicinity (and that is a big if), Avery will have an opportunity to have more games like he did in week 10. The Rams play an Arizona defense in week 11 that continues to struggle against the pass.

Muhsin Muhammad - Muhammad caught 6 passes for 91 yards against the Falcons and faces a weaker pass defense in the Miami Dolphins this week.  The Dolphins have a solid run defense that will have the Panthers passing a little more than they would like. Muhammad should be able to exploit the Dolphins young corners when the Panthers do go to the air.

TE’s

Bo Scaife - While he hasn’t quite rekindled the chemistry he has shared with Vince Young in the past, he was targeted six times last week.  The Titans will have to pass the ball regularly if they want to stay in their week 11 game against the Texans.

Awesome job!

We don't want to over load readers, but we do like to give you plenty of options. With that said, if those HB's are not around in your league take a look at Justin Forsett and Leonard Weaver as well.

Forsett faces a Minnesota defense that doesn't give up much in terms of rushing yards this week. The schedule gets much easier over the next few weeks and Forsett may be able to get enough touches to capitalize.

Thanks guys. I picked up Snelling. But, I still gotta run with Beanie Wells against the Rams this week!
